2012 Residency Artists
Nol Simonese
Nol Simonse grew up in Washington, D.C., and trained at the Boston Conservatory of Music. He moved to San Francisco in 1997 and is a founding member of Kunst-Stoff, Janice Garrett and Dancers (now Garrett+Moulton Productions), and Sean Dorsey Dance. He has been an extensive collaborator/performer with Sue Roginski, Eric Kupers, Christy Funsch, Stephen Pelton, and Kara Davis. Nol has produced his own work with fellow choreographer Todd Eckert in the 'Shared Space' series for the past five years. He has set work on the Lines summer program, ODC's Dance Jam, and Dance Brigade's Grrrl Brigade. In 2009 he received a 'GOLDIE' (Guardian Outstanding Local Discovery) in dance, and in 2011 was awarded an 'Izzy' (Isadora Duncan Bay Area Dance Award) for individual performance. Nol teaches modern at the Lines Dance Center, youth ballet at Dance Mission, and will begin a new modern class at Shawl-Anderson in the fall. He is very grateful to Deborah Slater and crew for this opportunity and their generosity.
Rosemary Hannon
Over the last ten years, Rosemary Hannon has has been lucky to work with lots of great dance-makers including; Christine Bonansea, Miriam Wolodarski, Nita Little, Scott Wells, Andrew Wass, Vitali Kononov, and Alma Esperanza Cunningham.
